Those amazing men on their cycling machines
Nothing amazes me more than those riders in the Tour de France. For three weeks they punish their bodies all in the name of sport.

To watch these athletes day in and day out covering distances in the saddle that would make a grown man cry is a sheer inspiration to achieve more in life.
Some may shout drugs, however when observing the true grit and determination that goes into the guys at the very top of their game, you can put drugs aside and simply admire these athletes. It is a shame that the drugs mentioned forever besmirch the true athletic ability of these marvelous warriors as they ply their trade across France, through Spain and Italy (and this year the UK).
Today's winner was Alexandre Vinokourov who earlier in the tour came tumbling down and was on one occasion reduced to tears as his Tour aspirations disappeared into the horizon. To lift oneself from the depths of despair to standing on the podium on no less than two occasions over the last 3 days is absolutely phenomenal.
No amount of injections can instill such a desire to come back and win
I for one look forward to drugs being obliterated from sport so the World can marvel at the sports people that are being produced on this planet, for so long genius was related to learning and education, it is only over the recent years that the word genius has been attached to sport. Finally sports persons are being recognized on the same level as a Picasso or even an Einstein.
Vino may be no Einstein when it comes to the books however when it comes to his cycle he is lauded as one of the very best at his craft.
The tour is now into its last week and Denmark's Michael Rasmussen leads by just under 2min 30 from Spain's Alberto Contador. His main threat is Germany's Andreas Kloden who took a tumble in the same accident as Astana team-mate, Vinokourov, and is said to be riding with a fracture of the coccyx. Kloden finds himself 5min 30 in arrears and needs to trim the Dane's lead down to 1 minute if he is to have any chance of victory.
This however seems unlikely and it seems like it shall be a Danish treat come Sunday.
