Coinciding with a headline Bon Jovi show at Hyde Park (July 5th), Tico "The Hitman" Torres, best known as the internationally famed drummer in one of music’s most enduring and successful rock bands, Bon Jovi, will be in the UK to launch the latest collections for his children's clothing, accessories and furniture brand Rock Star Baby.
When Tico’s son Hector was born he found it impossible to find cool children’s clothing that had a rock ‘n’ roll sensibility. So he decided to launch his own label. Rock Star Baby’s signature pieces are in black & white with jewelled colours, electric and metallic tones – perfect for a Rock Star Baby!
Torres is very hands on with the brand – bringing his own personal design and philosophy. The brand's initial focus was textiles for babies, toddlers and kids up to six years of age, however the brand has naturally grown to include accessories such as pacifiers, baby bottles and nursery furniture and now the Birkenstock shoe collection for Rock Star Baby which features metallic silver leathers, soft jet-black suede’s with smoky Swarovski crystals and laser cut leather elements. Each of the lines carries the unique ROCK STAR BABY fingerprint.
Bon Jovi has been recording and touring for the past thirty years, with record sales well in excess of one hundred million. Prior to joining Bon Jovi, Tico drummed with some of the most iconic names in music including Miles Davis, Rod Stewart, Chuck Berry and Stevie Nicks.
Tico is also a visual artist. His paintings and sculptures have been exhibited all over the world and his work is owned by artist Anthony Quinn, Donald Trump and the Gianni Versace estate amongst others.
