Continental, a delightful independent, family-run coffee house and bistro will open in the Castle Arcade in Cardiff\u2019s city centre on October 17.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The launch event runs from 6pm-8.30 and features tasty nibbles, champagne, live music and the finest coffee.<\/p>\n<p>Esther and George Apoussidis, the husband and wife team behind the new business, will draw on their international background to provide beautiful cakes, delicious savouries, a wide range of fine coffee, and a choice of wines at Coffee Continental.<\/p>\n<p>George, who is Greek, and Esther, who was born to a Welsh father and German mother, already run a hugely popular sister establishment in Blackwood.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI inherited a talent for cooking and baking from my mother,\u201d Esther says.&nbsp; \u201cPeople I cooked for always said this food is so good you should open a restaurant, which is how the business launched.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe identified a gap in the market in Cardiff for somewhere serving truly unusual speciality cakes, as well as a comprehensive range of coffee and hot chocolate options, inspired by the famous Austrian coffee houses,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also have our \u201c\u2019Panini of the World\u2019 concept&nbsp;
