Chobani, parent company of Bead Foods, has announced the appointment of Peter Meek as Managing Director. Meek will oversee all business activities at Bead Foods’ Dandenong plant, including the production of innovative dairy range Gippsland Dairy and distribution of Chobani, America’s #1 selling yoghurt brand[1].
“We spent a lot of time searching for the right person to lead Bead Foods on its path to becoming one of the most successful dairy companies in Australia, and we feel that Peter is the ideal candidate for the job,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, CEO, President and Founder of Chobani. “He’s joining us at an extremely exciting time for the business, with the recent launch of Chobani into NSW and plans to further grow the Gippsland Dairy brand.”
Meek has over 25 years’ experience in the dairy industry, with roles in both the UK and Australia spanning Product Development, Operations, Sales and Marketing. He is also a qualified food scientist, holding a Bachelor of Science (1st Class) in Food Manufacture and Science Technology from Manchester Metropolitan University.
