Kate Nash launches third album, ‘Girl Talk’ at St Martins Lane in London.
The celebrity-packed event ushered in the platinum selling, multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter’s highly anticipated third album. Written on the bass guitar, lending Kate’s new sound a more raw punk feel, she says, “It’s definitely a pop record, but has a new sound and feel to it. I played bass in a punk band called The Receeders for a couple of years and I love how powerful playing bass and using my voice like that made me feel. ʻGirl Talkʼ is full of colour, pop harmonies and melodies, and I feel like my voice has matured and that I can do more with it. Ra Ra Riot have announced the release date for their third album, Beta Love, as March 18th for the UK on Barsuk Records. The album marks the band’s first outing as a four piece with members Wes Miles on vocals, Milo Bonacci on guitar, Mathieu Santos on bass and Rebecca Zeller on violin forming the core of the group.
