What do I do? Everyday life on the operations team

Whilst sitting next to a fellow guest at a wedding on Saturday evening – the inevitable question came up ‘and what do you do?’ and sometimes I falter, but today when I came to write this blog and had to sit and think about it, everyday on the Operations Team is so very different.

What are you prepared to do for the environment?

I just came back from a trip to South Africa. What a wonderful country with amazing nature, animals and people. A trip I can truly recommend!

One thing that I realized is that in the Nordic region, we believe that we are the champions in protecting the environment and that we are doing all we possibly can. The general comments you can hear is: “We have come much further than other countries as we have been working on this for a long time”. However, this is not entirely true.

London – Riots again hit Britain on Tuesday evening for the fourth night in succession, with significant violence in the northern industrial city of Manchester as well as minor violence in London.

Police had posted 16 000 officers on the streets of London to prevent a repeat of Monday night’s scene of arson, looting, muggings and assaults that took place as hundreds of rioters clashed with police in many parts of the city. [Read more…]
