This year already we’ve signed a direct connectivity deal with IHG, collaborated with Travelport, acquired HVO – a Finnish HBA, appointed new staff members, moved our management team from Finland to London as well as launched our new website! Lots of more is to become.
Over the last 18 months Hotelzon has worked hard to form a strategic partnership with Travelport. The GDS (Global Distribution System) Galileo is one of the world’s largest travel content providers and is widely used in the UK & Europe. And in a number of cases we share customers. I have been involved in the project quite heavily and it’s one of the most interesting ones I have encountered in my career, in my experience of rolling this product out it has been greatly received.
It’s now 397 days to go before the 2012 Olympics commence and it seems the media are determined to shock us over with the outrageous news that, duh, hotels are pricing themselves for the market conditions. ment “You cannot imagine how busy I am running this hotel making my customers happy and now you want me to evaluate another sales opportunity”. I have worked in the operations' side of hotel business for over 10 years. I started as a receptionist and worked my way up to general management.
Half year has passed and we are enjoying summer season in this part of the world. It is also a vacation season in Nordics in July and most of the Europe during the August. We had a summer party in Hotelzon Finland and traditional summer BBQ with our HZUK team. This is a good time of year to recap what happened earlier this year and how the second half is looking.
Recently I took part in the HBAA Technology Showcase where I had the opportunity to present to the group on the offering that Hotelzon can provide to the hotel booking industry.

The last four weeks has seen a potential major decrease in my available cash which has nothing to do with filling up either my car or a supermarket trolley. It’s because along with the rest of the UK workforce, I’m no longer allowed to take or make bribes in order to carry out my job on a daily basis.
