Rainforest celebration

Size of Wales

Paul Williams Events, the company noted for staging a diverse array of high-profile events in Wales, is supporting Size of Wales’ celebratory event on March 21 by sponsoring the technical aspect of the event.

Size of Wales, which was launched in 2010 at a climate change event hosted by HRH the Prince of Wales, is a charity committed to helping to protect an equivalent area of tropical forest in African and Latin America,  and is the first operation of its kind.

The charity has now reached its fund-raising target of £2m, and has therefore helped protect a tropical forest the size of Wales.

The Size of Wales celebration – Champagne, Canapés and Comedy – which takes at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff, provides an opportunity for the charity to thank its supporters and to highlight its future objectives.

“I have been involved with Size of Wales from the outset,  and have organised a number of fund-raising events such as Rainforests and Rugby. I think it is an admirable project, as deforestation is causing major problems throughout the world, and is a clear contributor to the problem of climate change,” says Mr Williams.

“My expertise in staging events will help the Size of Wales celebration go off with a bang, providing supporters with a feel-good factor.”

Clare Raisin, partnership manager with Size of Wales, says.

“We are delighted that Paul is providing us with support. We want to  say a massive thank you to everyone that has helped us reach our target, and we’d like the event to be something people will remember for a long time.”

Paul Williams Events has been the creative force behind the SWALEC Stadium Christmas parties for the last 5 years, as well as the now legendary awards dinners for the Principality Building Society, the last of which was held on stage at the Wales Millennium Centre in January.

The company also produced a large-scale corporate party for the Admiral Group in the grounds of Cardiff Castle last summer, with Jessie J headlining.
